Also, in the dictionary it is listed as a meaning. Perhaps it was a meaning that was accepted over time due to incorrect use by people who were no too knowledgeable about Eastern Religions. Though it must have had morphed, 'cause "destiny" is how it is used nowadays. Still, the Hindu concept is that karma is the sum total of all your works, good or bad, which ultimately lead to whatever destiny your karma merits you.
